The Goldline 500 bass head features a 500W, solid state amplifier and a foot-switchable boost "valve effect" channel. GK Gate-Induced Valve Effect, or G.I.V.E. technology, was developed by Bob Gallien in 1972 and is part of what gives GK its distinctive sound. The Goldline 500 bass head is made using the same quality components as GK's professional products, such as a high-current power supply for maximum punch and a toroidal transformer for greater efficiency.
